Like most cultures, the Slovenes are proud of their accomplishments. Unlike many smaller cultures that end up being absorbed and homogenized into a larger whole, the Slovenes have maintained their identity and at least for tourists, they will model the past.
Pray that their dedication to the past and tradition will not keep them from accepting a Gospel that is mostly foreign to them. The Slovenes must do what I did as a child—understand that the Gospel is not advice to be kept, but an announcement to be received.
